The Definition

The type of social justice I will be talking about is: environmental justice. Environmental justice is the fair treatment of people's land regardless of the race, gender or class. The injustice of this when you take someones land without their permition and uses it for their own good, like for example building a nuclear waste facility in a valley but the contractors don't care about the people that live their.. This usually happens mostly to people with little wealth, because people with wealth that are taking the land or kicking the people out of the land know that they cant do anything because the poor people cant afford a lawyer to sue the wealthy people or take them to court.

An example is when from Europeans first colonized North America and just took the land from the Native Americans and built farms and towns for the Europeans' own good. Native Americans were too weak and they're technology was not as good as the Europeans'.

Another is example is also when Europeans went to Africa and colonized their land. They kicked the natives from the land out or they used them as slaves for factories the Europeans built and they made the slaves get goods to ship back to Europe. The Africans couldn't do anything about it, they're voice was small and Europeans were far too superior.

**REMEMBER this happened in the past when Europe was colonizing land, around the 16th Century.**

Some Recent News

Environmental justice happens nowadays too. There are lots of recent news. Like for example, in Kingsley Park in Buffalo, Nevada. The site had once been a location for a company that produce arsenic medicines. Many people saw workers dump materials into apt on the site. When the city acquired the location in 1967, works dug up the soil and the citizens used the soil for their gardening. They soil was contaminated and people got diseases. When authorities closed down the site in 1988. People still got sick after they cleaned up in 1992, the neighborhood where the white people lived in, they got an incinerator which blocked those contaminations. But only a few black people had access to it. Here is the full story
Kind of blurry, but this where the park was.

Another case is in Moss Point and Pascagoula, they lie on the Mississippi's gulf coast. Moss Point is a poor black, middle-class town, while Pascagoula is mostly white and more rich. In the late 1970's, Pascagoula experience waste disposal problems. They needed to build an incinerator, but the citizens in Pascagoula protested about having it in their community. So they built an incinerator in Moss Point, but it was owned by Pascagoula. The two cities were peaceful until December 1991, the Pascagoula city council passed a vote to send their medical wastes to be burned at the incinerator. This Moss Point residents into an uproar and claims of environmental racism. You read more over here at this website.
This is where Moss Point is.

If I Made an Amendment About This

Environmental justice is being critically abused by prosperous individuals. These individuals seize land from minorities or the government forces them to vend it. So I hereby recon that no soul can take land from any other soul, regardless the class, race or gender the soul is. However, the owner of the land s the one who lived there the most and he has the right to sell.

Environmental Justice in Abu Dhabi

Well in Abu Dhabi, no one is really taking land from any one. But the pollution is catastrophic in this city, the amount of carbon monoxide that is being pumped into the air from cars and factories is a lot! Some days you can  see the smog in the air and fell the thick air, no, not from humidity, but from pollution. Yes, pollution.

The garbage in Abu Dhabi isn't any better. Wherever you go there is going to be a can, plastic bag, or some boxes on the ground being pushed by the wind. The worst part is people throw these things on the ground even though there is a garbage bin in a three meter radius. But garbage bins are also a problem, there are not a lot of them in a certain area, this can also be the reason for having people throw garbage onto the floor. A ton of people are not bothered to hold their empty coke cans in their hands until they find a garbage bin.

We can reduce the amount of pollution by  getting electronic or hybrid cars. factories should also reduce the amount goods they make and try to reduce the amount of carbon monoxide they release. For the garbage, the city needs to make some recycling plants and increase the amount of garbage bins for both recycling and for ordinary garbage.
